What Is Learning to Lead Mathematics Professional Development?
Learning to Lead Mathematics Professional Development (LLMPD) is a videocase-based set of materials designed to cultivate the skills, sensibilities, and long-term capacities of educators responsible for designing and implementing quality mathematics professional development K-12. LLMPD includes seminars, arranged into seven modules, that focus on important pedagogical and facilitation skills, reflect the most current research on adult learning, and model a community of practice. LLMPD participants use video footage to analyze authentic instances of professional development to develop a repertoire of strategies that apply to their own professional development practice.

Who Should Attend?
This Facilitators' Institute is designed for educators who wish to use LLMPD materials to support the development of leaders of mathematics professional development. District curriculum coordinators, mathematics coordinators, mathematics project directors, and those charged with preparing teacher leaders will find the institute particularly useful.
