| Description: |
The National Science Teacher’s Association has developed a collection of resources to support online professional development for science teachers. In particular, the NSTA “SciPacks” and “Science Objects” can be used by teachers to specifically target science content improvement. Pre-tests and post-tests are used to document changes in content knowledge. The TRC is considering establishing a statewide partnership with NSTA to support each Regional Collaborative in utilizing this resource. NSTA presenters will discuss the Learning Center and the administrative options available to teachers and project directors for tracking teacher professional development. Project Directors and TRC staff will discuss how best to incorporate these opportunities into TRC professional development statewide.

A block of rooms at state rate has been reserved at the Hilton Garden Inn. Attendees must make their own reservations and will be reimbursed by the TRC for travel and lodging. To reserve a room, please visit the hotel site.

Hotel parking will be direct billed to the TRC. Parking for the PDA will be in Brazos Garage. Please bring your parking ticket to the training so we can stamp it for you.
