Location: The Univerisity of Texas J.J. Pickle Research Campus, located in the new Research Office Complex (ROC), Building 196. The ROC building houses the Institute for Geophysics, the Bureau of Economic Geology and the Texas Advanced Computation Center. It is located in the northeast quadrant of thePickle Research Campus. Registration: Grant covers registration costs (Breakfast and lunch included) Each collaborative is responsible for travel and housing.

Eligible Attendees: Minority or minority-serving teachers who would like to teach the new Earth Space Science capstone course. Attendees have applied and been accepted to participate.

Description: Participants will have an introduction to plate tectonics, use visualization tools to explore data from earthquakes, volcanoes, and plate boundaries, learn applications of GPS, and understand the roles of water in breaking apart the continents.
