Description: About GeoGebra: Markus Hohenwarter, post-doctoral research assistant at Florida Atlantic University, developed a free online instructional tool for use in the mathematics classroom called GeoGebra. This powerful tool allows teachers to more easily model many algebraic and geometric concepts. If you are interested in finding out more about GeoGebra you may want to download the free application at: http://www.geogebra.org/cms/ before the workshop.

Gary Browning (Education Specialist, Region 9 Education Service Center) and Ward Roberts (Education Specialist, Wichita Falls ISD) will deliver a two-day training in which participants will learn to use the basic components of GeoGebra, understand how GeoGebra can be integrated into existing Collaborative professional development and experience activities for use in workshops at their respective sites. Both Ward Roberts and Gary Browning have had extensive experience using GeoGebra with students and teachers.
