Project Directors for the Texas Regional Science Collaboratives

This is the first project directors meeting for the 08-09 year. Agenda items will include discussion of the 2008-2009 Science RFA. In the afternoon attendees will visit the Rice Model Science Lab at Sanchez Elementary, 2700 Berkley, Houston. (a 10 minute drive from the PDA meeting site)
Optional Session to be held at Rice University on Monday, February 4, 2008
An optional technology session is being offered on February 4 from 11:30 to 4:30 at a Rice University facility at 5615 Kirby. During this session the Rice University Collaborative will provide hands on training in the use of its two online resources, http://Learn.Rice.edu and www.TAKScopes.com.
Learn.Rice.edu provides a free eLearning community and online assessment resource and can be used by project directors for online applications and forms, creating collaborative workgroups, communication with Collaborative teachers, pre and post testing, and many more functions of interest to Collaborative directors. TAKScopes.com is a complete set of online learning experiences covering all the TESTED Elementary Science TEKS and is available for purchase by Texas schools.
