Mathematics Knowledge for Teaching Algebra

The TRC will host a one-day PDA on Mathematics Knowledge for Teaching Algebra. This seminar will prepare TRC Mathematics Project Directors to assess teachers knowledge using the Survey of Elementary Teachers of Mathematics Study: Algebra Study. This instrument was developed by researchers at the Learning Mathematics for Teaching (LMT) project at the University of Michigan. Despite the use of “elementary” title this assessment is designed to test algebraic concepts taught through 8th and 9th grade.

All the images will eventually be displayed. However, the images are divided into "sets," and you can optionally click the Sets icon: to reveal a floating palette making it possible to jump to specific sets of images.
