Mission

The Region 4 Mathematics Collaborative values excellence, service, and children. The Mathematics Collaborative provides high quality professional development opportunities to equip teachers with the knowledge and skills to engage students in meaningful learning experiences that are designed to improve students' mathematical, scientific, and technological literacy.

Accomplishments

Region 4 was able to provide professional development to over 300 teachers during the 2006-2007 implementation of the grant.

Teachers were able to improve their content knowledge on the concepts presented in the professional development.

Through the math collaborative, the mathematics education of 18, 930 students were impacted by the student lessons provided in the professional development.
