Region 18 Collaborative / Midland
The Region 18 Science Collaborative will identify and showcase best practices for teaching and learning science including technology for classroom applications.
Accomplishments
The Region 18 Collaborative has gained a reputation as a highly worthwhile experience. Many past participants have reported success in raising the scores of their students. They enjoy learning new methods of teaching based on research and best practices. In addition to trainings required by grant participation, Region 18 STM's are provided with unique opportunities to participate in field experiences. These trips will include in field work at Sibley Nature Center, Mott Creek Ranch near Floydata, Fort Davis, Alpine, McKittrick Canyon, and Big Bend National Park.
