Description

Through the use of an observation protocol, called “Windows on the Classroom”, originally developed by the Dana Center, mentors will be able to gather and use data for meaningful conversations with mentees. The protocol brings to a conscious level the decisions successful teachers make when planning for instruction.

Join us for an engaging day with many opportunities for networking, learning with your peers, and having rich conversations about changing a traditional classroom into a transformed classroom suitable for 21st Century Learning.  Session participants will become comfortable in recognizing appropriate learning objectives, types of student engagement, highly-effective instructional strategies, respectful student work, and appropriate resources. Activities will center on the critical decisions of a classroom teacher needed for student achievement.

Certificates of Participation

Certificates stating 6 Continuing Professional Education hours (CPE credits) earned will be sent electronically after the participant has completed the online course evaluation. Participants should receive the certificate two to three weeks after the PDA. Any questions about certificates should be directed toward the contact person listed on this page.
