Eligible Attendees:

Project Directors and Instructional Team Members for the Texas Regional Mathematics Collaboratives, school administrators, district and school math specialists may attend. Priority is given to TRC Collaborative members for PDA registration. 

Description

The Texas Response to Curriculum Focal Points (TXRCFP) was created from the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and identifies critical areas for mathematics instruction at each grade level. The Elementary-School Students in Texas: Algebra Ready (ESTAR) training will inform and familiarize participants with the TXRCFP as a framework for improving overall mathematics instruction and achievement, in order to decrease the percentage of students who need math intervention.

Certificates of Participation

Certificates stating 18 Continuing Professional Education hours (CPE credits) earned will be sent electronically after the participant has completed the online course evaluation. Participants should receive the certificate two to three weeks after the PDA. Any questions about certificates should be directed toward the contact person listed on this page.

Accommodations

Sleeping rooms are available on a first come, first serve basis at the workshop site.  Participants are responsible for making their own reservations. Reservations at the hotel MUST be made by June 29th to get the discounted rate of $99/night. Use "Region 4" as the discount code when making the hotel registration.

Parking is available at the hotel.

Registration

The cost is $45.00 per day per participant. Registration fees cover breakfast and lunch. Payments are due before this event. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations or those not in attendance.

For this 3-day workshop, fees are $135 per person.

Registration will be available through Region IV. Payment will be made to Region IV.
