Mission

The Region 4 Science Collaborative provides opportunities for K–12 science teachers to share, model, and learn research-based best practices that lead to increased student achievement.

Accomplishments

In 2008-2009 the Region 4 Science Collaborative provided over 230 hours of professional development for participating Science Teacher Mentors and Cadre Members in the Houston area. Thirty-six teachers committed to receive 105 professional development hours between August 2008 and June 2009 to become a Science Teacher Mentor and over 125 teachers became Cadre Members impacting over 2,800 students in grades 2-8.
