Region 3 Collaborative / Victoria
Mission
The mission of the Region 3 Math Collaborative is to enhance the capacity of mathematics teachers to enact curricula reforms that produce higher student achievement. Professional development within the Region 3 Math Collaborative centers on content knowledge of Algebra and Geometry, principles of effective instruction and student learning.
Accomplishments
The 2010-2011 Region 3 Math Collaborative finished the year with forty-three math teacher mentors averaging ninety-eight hours of professional development.

Events and Activities
The Region 3 Math Collaborative was pleased and excited to honor our Math Teacher Mentors at our Honoring the Teacher Event held at University of Houston Victoria on May 5, 2011. Dr. Kamil Jbeily, Executive Director, of the Texas Regional Collaboratives was the keynote speaker. Certificates of appreciation from the Honorable Geanie Morrison were presented to each teacher for their service to education.
