Untitled document

Mission

The Region 4 Mathematics Collaborative values excellence, service, and children. The Mathematics Collaborative provides high quality professional development opportunities to equip teachers with the knowledge and skills to engage students in meaningful learning experiences that are designed to improve students' mathematical, scientific, and technological literacy.

Accomplishments

Region 4 was able to provide professional development to 500 educators during the 2007-2008 implementation of the grant.

The teachers were able to improve their content knowledge of the concepts presented in the professional development.

Through the math collaborative, the mathematics education of almost 25,000 students was impacted by the student lessons provided in the professional development.

The Region 4 Math Collaborative is now recruiting Math Teacher Mentors for the 2009-2010 grant year! Please contact Shelley Bolen-Abbott for further information on this exciting opportunity.
