Mission

Region 5 ESC strives to provide mathematics teachers with the support needed to implement the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) through quality mathematics content that is structured and implemented in a manner that engages students with important mathematical concepts.

Accomplishments

Through the Texas Regional Collaborative, Region 5 Education Service Center has had the opportunity to partner with various districts and businesses to offer our teachers of mathematics an opportunity to improve all areas of education. Together, we continuously strive to enhance the quality of mathematics teaching in Texas through Professional Development and interregional collaboration. By building the leadership capacity of mathematics teachers, we strive to increase the number of qualified mathematics educators to prepare our students for the ever-so demanding job force ahead.
