UT Brownsville Regional Collaborative
Mission
The mission of the collaborative is to improve the mathematics teaching knowledge of its participants and to foster leaders in mathematics education.
Accomplishments
The UT-Brownsville has had two teachers awarded the Mathematics Teaching Excellence award from the Texas Regional Collaborative for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. They were Ms. April Ghinzoli a third grade teacher from Brownsville ISD in 2010, and Mr. Mario Aguillar, a sixth grade mathematics teacher at Olivera Middle School in Brownsville ISD.
