Mission
The Region 4 Mathematics Collaborative values excellence, service, and children. The Mathematics Collaborative provides high quality professional development opportunities to equip teachers with the knowledge and skills to engage students in meaningful learning experiences that are designed to improve students' mathematical, scientific, and technological literacy.
Accomplishments
Region 4 was able to provide professional development to 500 educators during the 2007-2008 implementation of the grant.
The teachers were able to improve their content knowledge of the concepts presented in the professional development.
Through the math collaborative, the mathematics education of almost
25,000 students was impacted by the student lessons provided in the
professional development.
The
Region 4 Math Collaborative is now recruiting Math Teacher Mentors for
the 2009-2010 grant year! Please contact Shelley Bolen-Abbott for
